Children’s Hospital of The King’s Daughters, a not-for-profit health care system, is the facility of choice for pediatric care in southeastern Virginia and northeastern North Carolina. With 200 in-patient beds, including a Level IV Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (with an active and growing cardiac surgery program), Rehabilitation and in-house Transitional Care Unit, hematology/oncology unit, and a dedicated pediatric emergency department, families can depend on CHKD to provide the best care in the region. Our staff truely understands and addresses the unique demands of health care for their patients.

Since the Norfolk City Union of The King’s Daughters established the hospital in 1961, CHKD has undergone two major renovations and expansions and is now at the hub of a comprehensive system of caring dedicated exclusively to children.
