Organization Overview
Glacial Ridge Health System is a progressive, growing healthcare organization overlooking beautiful Lake Minnewaska in Glenwood, Minnesota.
In our rural community, we provide vascular, gynecological and bariatric surgery along with 24/7 Emergency Room coverage with eEmergency and Telestroke technology. We have a full array of primary care services including inpatient general medicine, family medicine, obstetrics, geriatrics, bariatrics and general surgery.
GRHS employs 18 medical providers comprised of 1 general and bariatric surgeon, 1 vascular surgeon, 1 OB/Gyn, 8 family medicine physicians, 5 FNPs and 2PAs. Glacial Ridge Hospital is a 19 bed Critical Access hospital with Trauma Level IV certification.
GRHS consists of the hospital, two primary care rural health clinics located in Glenwood and Brooten, homecare, hospice, a wellness center, EMS training center and ambulance services in Brooten, Glenwood and Starbuck.
GRHS provides quality care for residents and visitors throughout our county and portions of neighboring counties including the towns of Alexandria, Morris, Benson, Osakis, Sauk Centre, and Belgrade. We are a state-of-the-art facility located one hour from St. Cloud, and located halfway between Fargo and the Twin Cities.

Benefits
HEALTH INSURANCE – Medical/Surgical Health Insurance with prescription drug benefit is available to employees (and their families) who work at least 20 hours weekly. Employee premiums are pre-taxed, saving 25-30% in payroll tax dollars.
PENSION PLAN – GRHS contributes 5% of eligible employee gross wages with an employee 3.5% match. Eligibility for this benefit is: Must be 20 years of age, work one year and at least 20 hours a week. 100% vesting after 7 years and 19 diversified investment choices are available from experienced money managers. Pre-tax contributions to pension can be made immediately.
PAID LIFE INSURANCE – Group Term Life Insurance is an employee benefit paid 100% by GRHS. The Life Insurance amount is equal to previous year’s gross salary. It is eligible to those who have worked one year and a minimum of 30 hours a week.
DENTAL INSURANCE – Two optional dental plans are available to eligible employees and their families on a pre-tax payroll deduction.
SHORT AND LONG TERM DISABILITY – An optional benefit available through payroll deduction which provides competitive rates on short and long term disability policies for employees who work more than 20 hours a week.
PAID TIME OFF (PTO) – PTO is a flexible system which combines vacation, sick and holiday time.
PAID BEREAVEMENT LEAVE – Employees are given up to three paid days per calendar year for the death of a close family member, as specified in the GRHS personnel manual.
EMPLOYEE WELLNESS PROGRAM – Employee wellness is not just a diet and exercise plan. An Employee Wellness program is used to boost team morale, promote health and wellness, and decrease sick-time and employee turnover. There is no cost to employees.
WELLNESS CENTER – There is a $20 maximum monthly cost for the use of complete Wellness Center equipment, aerobic classes and activities. With the health insurance plan, it is FREE if you use the Wellness Center 12+ times a month!
