Organization Overview

Spectrum Health is a West Michigan-based health care system dedicated to improving the well-being of families and individuals. The organization was created in 1997 as a not-for-profit, integrated health care system. Today, the System provides care throughout all of Michigan.

We are the largest employer in West Michigan with 16,000 staff members, 1,500 physicians, and 2,350 volunteers. Our service area covers a population of 9.5 million. In FY09, we had a net system revenue of $2.7 billion.

We have three businesses: Priority Health, Spectrum Health Medical Group and Spectrum Health Hospital Group.

The Technology and Information Services (TIS) department of Spectrum Health System will set the standard for providing system-wide information and technology solutions and integrations to enhance the community’s health and lead the nation in health care informatics.

Spectrum Health has TIS opportunities available at multiple locations throughout West Michigan. We will acquire, develop, and retain skilled and committed staff to support a complex technical environment and facilitate skill and knowledge transfer of IT tools throughout Spectrum Health.
